Does anyone know if T-Mobile charges a fee for using a data plan while the phone is roaming onto another network such as AT&T?
I have a G1 and while I am out of the office for work I often notice that my phone switches over to the AT&T network. I have used the phone while it is roaming for voice calls and have not been charged extra. However when I tried set up the phone to "Connect to data services when roaming" the phone gave gave me the following message. "Attention Allow data roaming? You may incur significant roaming charges!"
I know the fees for data service while roaming outside of the United States are very high, however I haven't heard anything about a roaming charge within the US. Is there a (hopefully lower) fee for roaming within the US as well?
