does sprint nextel direct connect work with boost mobile's walkie talkie?

okay so i guess my dad is going to cut me off the phone he says it will teach me responsiblty to pay my own phone and i agree it is so now im searching for a plan like sprint for 49.99 i get 450 minutes and unlimited messages and nights that start at 7 and weekends also direct connect which is what i want and i want to know if direct connect from nextel will work to talk to customers who have boost mobile walkie talkie
