For a couple of months now I've had my eye on a girl at the gym. For a month we just exchanged eye contact heavily. One day I manned up and started a convo with her. I told her that she looked familiar and asked if she went to my high school. She had a really awkward face on her face in the beginning, but after a while she was grinning ear to ear. We had some small talk and she eventually walked off with a smile. For a month straight we had some really small talk and that's about it. She would sometimes cut the conversation short. I was beginning to lose hope. I eventually found out that she was my friends girlfriends cousin. My friend works at the gym as a counselor. His girlfriend hinted that a guy at the gym liked her. She knew right away who it was. She told her cousin that she felt awkward because she didn't know what to say to me. When I told her that she looked familiar she was in a way "weirded" out by it. I saw a couple of times after that incident and I didn't approach her or nor did she approach me. I'm really stubborn when it comes to the dating game. If you don't show any interest in me..I won't make any efforts. I chased women for years and I've been dumped in every relationship I've had. A couple of nights ago she got on the tread mill next to me and struck up a conversation. We talked for about an hour. We just asked basic questions about ourselves, lives, school, and family. She gleamed when she found out we shared the same birthday this thursday. She laughed and smiled. She chuckled at all of silly, blunt jokes. She laughed at the times when I wasn't even telling a joke. I told her that i figured out why she looked so familiar and she almost tripped on the treadmill from laughing. I told her she reminded me of a girl from high school(which is true) I had a good time talking to her. I eventually got off because I had to leave. I didn't get her number or ask her out because I still think it's a little early. Overall ladies, does she seem to like me,,or was she just being friendly? Today was our birthdays. I was hoping to see her at the gym today to wish her a happy birthday but I'm sure she had other plans. Do you think it would be a good idea to send her a message on facebook wishing her a happy birthday along with a friend request or is it still too early?
