Does Sega Care About Sonic the Hedgehog Anymore?

Sega seems to never delay Sonic games, which bus me a lot. They do not seem to realize that making a game and releasing it when not completed is not good for business. But delaying a game, gets more people to be excited for it, and most likely sell more. Sonic has not been doing well. It seems that the blue blur can no longer get a positive reviewed game (except for 2D games). Sonic Unleashed has great Sonic gameplay. Reviewers however seem to just focus on the Werehog's decent gameplay, instead of the fun of Sonic's speed. Sonic Team should make a main Sonic game that has Sonic Unleashed's Sonic game, and not add in any gimicks to Sonic. Sonic can change, but please Sega, not for the worst. So my question is... Does Sega Care About Sonic the Hedgehog Anymore?
 
Im guessing that they dont really care as much since they need to make new games every so often
 
i guess they are trying to take sonic in a new direction with sonic and the black knight, maybe they will take the genre into an rpg direction, not too sure but think they will try all different styles.
my motto is and relates to sonic, if its not broken dont change it, sonic unleashes was a great game in my opinion.
