I want to start running again but going out to a bike path (paved and flat) is annoying to me and I don't have much motivation to go running on the bike path by myself. I have been thinking about getting a treadmill (asking my parents for one) but I don't want to get one if it's not as beneficial. I don't see why it would be worse but some of my friends have said that it's inaccurate as they can tell by their stride that they've run farther than the treadmill says. Wouldn't that be good because come track season, it'll be easier to run the distance I need to if I've been running farther in training?
So is running on a treadmill just as good as running on a bike path (paved and flat)?
