Does anyone think that maybe doctors in the United States continue to perpetuate the myth that circumcision is necessary in order to keep making billions off them every year (not to mention the repair work done when they are so often botched... the recircumcisions, the skin grafting, etc.)
Could it be a scam?
Is that why most industrialized nations with government sponsored healthcare no longer do routine infant circumcision? Because it is a money costing scam? They know it doesn't have medical benefits to it and since it just costs the healthcare system a lot of money they treat it like cosmetic surgery and don't cover it?
Do you think people realize that it's just cosmetic surgery done on your baby?
*this isn't meant as an attack on moms whose sons are already cut. It's truly a question... do you think that the reason why it's still routine in the USA and that the AAP doesn't recommend against it but instead takes a neutral stance is because they're ripping off the public in the USA?
What does that say about the public in the USA anyway?
*I'm an American myself but I think I'm actually a Canadian at heart.
