Does riding a bicycle decrease lean muscle mass in legs?

It depends on how you ride. Long distance cycling can make your legs smaller (if they're already large). But you have to ride a lot, like 150 miles per week, and at a fast tempo.
If you do short and explosive sprints, your leg size will increase. For example, look up "track sprinters" to see the size of their legs. They focus on very short sprints, like the 200m, and they work out a lot at the gym.

I heard somewhere that riding a bicycle tones up legs. I don't really know what this means because my legs are already toned however, Im a soccer player and I have developed powerful muscle mass in my legs that I need because I need to kick ball hard. If i start riding a bicycle, will my legs get smaller?
