Does remote starter burn out the onboard computer for Chrysler Sebring?

Tried to get a remote start for my Dad's 2006 Chrysler Sebring, but the guy at the shop said it was not a good idea, that it would burn out the onboard diagnostic computer. Just wondering if this is true. Thanks

If installed correctly, it will be just fine. It will not "burn out" any of the car's computers, including the pcm.
