Ike likes to bike

Im looking for a better (road) bike than my mountain bike, and my dads 25 year old touring bike. Recently did a triathlon and realized how old his bike is (beginning to fall apart despite years of great maintenance). However it seems like most decent bikes are $700-$900 now, and i am 15 years old and while i have a job at a summer camp it doesnt exactly pay well. So while i would love it if rei had a used section with much cheaper bikes, any other way (don't say craigslist) to get a decent road bike for less than 700 would be nice.
