Does poetry still impress a girl, in general or, if say, you were attempting to woo her?

I like to write a bit in my spare time. I wondered if the modern woman found poetry too soppy, or they still consider it to show a sensitive side.
 
It depends on the woman, I think but yeah most women like it...just don't attempt to write poems to her in early stages of relationship.
 
Honestly, it depends how long you have been dating. I think it is really lame for a guy to write a poem if we have only been dating for six months or less. It sounds like a nice idea, but if a guy wrote a poem, I would break up with him. Sounds crazy, but true. I would hold off for awhile.
