Does Paxil make you exhausted?

Hi all. I have been on Paxil for 3.5 weeks now, at a pretty high dosage to deal with my anxiety/OCD. I am SO tired that I can barely function. Sleeping until 11 or noon every day...my social life has come to a halt because all I have the energy for is laying in bed watching "Dexter", lol.
I have also been extremely dizzy. My Dr. said he thinks the fatigue is a result of the Paxil and we may need to try a different med.

Has anyone else had debilitating fatigue with Paxil? I am just curious. I took Paxil 7 years ago and had no problems with it. Totally different scenario now.
 
Sorry I can't help more,but I found that Paxil (controlled release,a must)is much more helpful than regular Paxil.I don't think that Paxil has made me exhausted,and attribute some to restlessness, as age related.I did take a separate pill for anxiety though,and am afraid to add any
more medication.I have a close young relative on Paxil (cr),and never heard of restlessness problems.Hope you find a solution pronto Bill

Yeah i would say your fatigue is from the Paxil
I have been on and off a lot of meRAB over the years and they all
just about knocked me out for days on end.
It could also be from starting from a higher dosage as well.
Remeraber the starting dose for Paxil is 20mg
Any chance of seeing a P Doc?
They are generally a lot better at sorting out meRAB and dosages
than a regular GP
