Hi! This is a love poem I've been working on that I believe many can relate to, but it doesn't sound correctly written in my point of view. Like something is missing or should be excluded from the poem. I want to know what should be added or removed from the poem or if its fine as it is. Please enjoy and leave honest feedback!
I have looked upon you many times,
My everlasting care for you never dies.
But you choose to not know who I am,
You don't know the compassion in my hands.
I am here and I still exist,
But my presence is something that you resist.
Search your heart and unlock its door,
I desire to love you forevermore.
Choose to settle for the best,
I can lay your worries and fears to rest.
But this shall never be my choice,
You deserve to have your own free voice.
There is something you must always know,
My love for you shines with the brightest glow.
I beg of you to see this light,
Do not shade yourself and avoid its might.
Please accept the goodness in me,
I am willing to give you my heart so lavishly.
I shall never bring about a cost,
For you are someone too precious to be lost.
It is impossible to find another you,
I have searched in every single view.
I doubt you shall find another me,
My personality is something you fail to see.
Loneliness is what I forever lament,
Sadness has been my life's torment.
This is forgotten when you are near,
This is why to me you are so dear.
I know you're an angel, I have seen your wings,
Your voice comforts me when it rings.
Your kindness and beauty is what I love,
You truly are from the great beyond above.
You may not realize how I feel,
But my love for you is most certainly real.
You may not know that I am here,
But when you find me, you shall find no fear.
Dearest lady of heaven, hear my prayer tonight,
Share with me your love's sacred holy light.
I shall always be here if you answer my call,
But please do not allow me to suffer nor fall.
I have been alone for years too long,
I need you in my life to keep me healthy and strong.
Relieve me of my pain and despair,
I shall wait for your answer, I shall go nowhere.
