Does my computer have a wireless network adapter built in?

I tried connecting my vista computer I bought last yr wirelessly and it didn't detect the wirless router on my windows xp computer. Does it have a built in wireless detector/adapter??? I thought it said when I bought it that it can recieve wirless signals. When I plugged in a ethernet cable coming from the router, internet now then worked.
