Does Meebo on G1 show up on the tmobile bill?

I have the G1 with T-mobile but I don't have the data package. it runs as a phone and on the wifi capability. the regular IM client it comes with uses the SMS text, but meebo runs on data. does that mean it doesn't show up on the bill and run on wifi? or does it show up on the bill?
