Does meditation could help me with my anxiety and to stop worrying about everything?

does meditation work? how can help me? I don't know anybody in my city that practice yoga.. I want something quickly that doesn't need any special position.. because I am not good.. I try to calm down but I feel my brain is very strong.. those feelings anxiety make me to feel I am sweat of my hands and feet and I feel cold.. I don't know what are the syptoms of anxiety.. I have been looking for help but nothing.. I take clonazempa now but just at night.. I feel I became addicted because I don't know.. it makes me feel to sleep very well because I can't at nights.. and during day I avoid taking something like that because it makes me sleep.. also I suffer high blood pressure and I am overweight.. I need help.. I am just 23.. and I don't know how can I help the meditation?
