Does Mazda accept financing to temporary residents?

I'm looking to buy the new 2010 Mazda 3, although it would be me signing for the finance contract, I still need my dad to cosign for me. However, my family and I just moved to Canada and still have our temporary residency/visitors Visa. He was accepted to finance my mom's '06 Toyota Corolla (usually Toyota doesn't allow non-citizens to finance), but only because he has an excellent credit history.

So does anyone know if Mazda Canada will make the same exception???
