does marijuana show up in a blood test?

as the title says im getting blood takin for my health insurance. what are the chances they would test it for marijuana? ive been told by family members they have smoked on the way to get blood taken and still got approved for their insurance. i would like to know if marijuana would show up
 
It will show up on a blood test IF your insurance decides to check for that evidence. Usually they do blood tests to make sure you are 'healthy' so they are not setting themselves up for failure if they accept you. I've seen people denied because they smoke cigarettes or drink beer, but then also seen some people get accepted who smoke marijuana and drink heavily...It really all depends on the insurance co. But I'd recommend not smoking til after the test to eliminate any 'possibilities'
