I am having physiotherapy for some muscle issues. It consists of exercises involving hip, pelvic, back and abdominal muscles. I have GERD, hiatal and an epigastric hernia. The hernia repair is still in the future due to super long waiting lists.
My first physiotherapy session made me feel ill and extremely nauseous. This feeling lasted for about an hour and a half afterwards. I have a few days between scheduled physio sessions. Does exercise aggravate the hernia? Could it possibly be made worse? Whenever possible, I try to avoid heavy lifting. The hernia has not been bothering me much. I'd like to keep it that way!
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
