Does lifting weights stunt your growth?

I want to know if lifting weights as in sitting down on a chair, having the ?lb weight on your thigh and lifting it up to your chest and back down again to repeat many times can stunt your grow. Some people on other websites say yes and others say that it doesn't.
I am fifteen and started in December of last year with a five pound weight and now I have a ten pound weight.
sorry, my mistake lifting a weight with your hand like an arm curl but sitting down to exercise my biceps, like a ninety degree arm curl.Not exercising your abs.
