...long will it last? Hi,

I am getting a new car. I am looking at a Lexus. Do you think a 2001 Lexus IS300 with 143,000 miles is too much? I know a Lexus is a Toyota, so is there a correlation in quality between the two brands?

How much does Lexus cost to maintain, in terms of brake work, repairs and other things that need to be fixed due to wear and tare?

All modern cars are designed to last 10 years and 150k miles. If cared for properly it can go further. It not it wont make it that far.

Used cars are always a crap shoot unless you are buying from someone that you know. Have it checked out by someone you trust.

Luxury type cars cost more to maintain and repair than your average car.

Lexus is toyota's "Luxury" line of autos, They are in essence a dolled up toyota, carrying with it Toyota's reliablility, I would have no problem buying the car you speak of as long as it is a good price, research it on msn autos and find reliabitiy ratings and also kelly blue book prices, you wont regret a toyota or lexus!
