Does it matter if the brides name comes before the grooms on a couples

wedding invitation? I put my fiance's name first on about 10 invites, then began noticing brides seemed to be first in others...left me feeling like maybe it should be changed. I also don't want to use the word reception on my invites...is "celebration to follow" acceptable?
 
Does it really matter who's name goes first? It both of your wedding. Celebration to follow is acceptable but you should put the place where it will be held at.
 
I've always noticed that the brides name is first on invitations. and I think celebration to follow is good.
 
Both of those are acceptable. You should write your name first. and the celebration to follow sounds perfect, it will make the guests feel more welcomed. :) and CONGRATULATIONS!
