Bluetooth does not cost any money to use. Many phones and other electronic devices such as lap tops are equipped with the program and as long as both of the electronic devices have it--you can use it for free. Sometimes the connection may not be very good--I dont know why--but it will work. It does not matter what plan of services you may have because Bluetooth is an independent program. You can think of it as Wi-fi. If the lap top has a wireles antenna and there is wi-fi available somewhere like a restaurant, then you can use the internet for free while you are in that area. Same thing with Bluetooth--as long as both Bluetooth devices are within range, they can share things such as pictures, songs, and connect to wireless headset devices.
--Yes, it does not matter what or who the provider is. You can have Sprint and the other person can have AT&T. It does not matter you can use it anytime for free.
