Does "IM" Charge on Bell Mobility?

Hi guys,

My plan is a share plan w/ Bell in Canada.

I was wondering if I could use Instant Messaging [IM] without getting charged for internet.

I do not have a data plan. My friend that is with rogers can use IM without charging him but just deducts text out of his plan, so i was wondering if I could do the same without getting charged.
