Does a large amount of savings ($10k - $20k) in the bank affect the amount of financial aid you can receive? My parent doesn't work and I make about $10k a year. Half of the money in my savings account comes from financial aid and scholarships, so do I have to report the whole amount when I answer the FAFSA question about savings?
