Does Habitat for Humanity keep log of volunteers' service hours?

I have volunteered with HH for about two years. I was wondering if they kept track of how many hours you have volunteered with them, or is there a way to prove that you actually volunteered there. From my knowledge you just register for an event then go there and that's it. It seems a bit extensive that they would log every volunteer's hours because they always have so many things going on and so many different volunteers.
