does going to the at&t shop or media mall cost data money if u dont have a data plan?

if it does then at&t is very expensively CHEAP!!!!! cuz they shudnt charge us for trying to buy something from them anyway!! cuz its like havin to pay for window shopping and not buying anything...
so do they charge you for going there?
