It seems to me, that the media, universities, government, employers and public schools all try to silence or demonize anyone who criticizes any minority, even if their is some truth in their criticism.

Posters on Y!A do this as well. Most of my questions that involve race relations get removed.

How are we supposed to have a discussion on race if there are severe consecquences if someone disagrees with your critisizm?

Many prominent people have been fired from their jobs or unfairly portrayed as a hateful racist.

I got called into my bosses office at work for having a discussion about race with a black co-worker. We both were in agreement, but a third party reported us for talking about race. I had to promise not to have this type of discussion on the job any more.

Does censorshoip exist on many levels in America when it comes to certain issues, where you must be politically correct or you will be silenced. Doesn't freedom of speech protect unpopular speech?
