Herman Cain said he would build a border fence that was electrified. Well, first he said he would do it then he said it was a joke and then he said he's not backing off of it, so I'll just go with his last answer and assume he is doing it. Never mind how much it would cost to build such a thing, but how much would it cost to keep a fence 1,200 miles long electrified enough to keep people away every day 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. And what would happen if somebody were to cut the circuit with a bolt cutter and some rubber gloves? Wouldn't that bring the whole electric field down?
Does electrifying a 1200-mile fence make good financial sense?
