A friend of mine recently gave me an old UT Starcom 7025 that he said he got for $10 at a pawn shop. I already use Sprint, so I was going to give it to someone who really neeRAB it. But I'm assuming since my friend got it for so cheap at a pawn shop that it's stolen. I called customer service and asked them this question, but the guy I talked to seemed clueless as to whether or not a bad ESN could be re-activated.
I don't even know anything about the history of this particular phone, but if for some reason the previous owner never paid his bill or the phone was reported stolen, would there be any problem activating it?
