i'm interested in cornell architecture, but i'm a bit hesitant to apply since the school is so prestigious, and my grades/sat scores are mediocre (3.7, 2000)
i was wondering if cornell looks more towards grades or portfolio ? thanks.

It looks towards both. In schools such as Cornell they judge you based not only on your grades but also on extra-curricular activities and community service. If you are a student with grades such as yours but you show the signs of a leader you could get in. Also, if Cornell does not work out for you try UPenn. It has one of the top 10 Architecture schools in the USA.
