I always ask myself if, even though I think I am correct, whether it is worth speaking up about the reality or my view of reality, because organizations, like the one I'm in, seem to have shrinking affability, emphasis on performative assessment, and [contrastingly] a sense of trust that comes from conveyed attitudes more than results. Thus, I'm curious about how more camaraderie, collegial support, and trust are promoted, when we (1) choose to argue and disagree, even though we may part ways unresolved at times or (2) agree and de-emphasize differences in opinion.
