Does Boost mobile have an activation fee?

So heres my dilemma.
I have had cricket before and then switched to straight talk because straight talks use of the verizon network makes it have EXCELLENT coverage. Unfortunately because of straight talks lack of phones, I want to switch and get the blackberry curve from either BOOST mobile or CRICKET. I live in the Burlington, NC/Durham/Raleigh NC area. Has anyone had any experience with these areas with either plan? Also, usually boost is a little more expensive with their phones but I can get them for the same price, but cricket has no activation fee, does boost?
