Did the medication help you with asthma flair ups

My daughter gets severe lung infections about every few years. It seem to build up to that point. She also has allergy which cause fever and hives when she was a child, she was ill for a few days before it got better.

It presented itself as if she had the flue or severe cold.

She has been prescribed Qvar, and will take a blood test in a few weeks.

I did, back in 2000. it was given to me because my asthma attacks were out of control. took it everyday to help them get back into control. and it was soft on the lungs so I liked it. worked for a while, then stopped working.

during this time, allergies and irritants where the main cause for attacks. Remeraber, inhalers are not curing asthma, they are only treating the symptoms. Try your best to remover as much of the triggers or cause as you can, so her asthma and lung damage don’t progress.

make sure people don’t smoke around her, and the air is clean
if she is allergic to dust mites -clean the house everyday.
and so on. my mother never did this for me. My triggers were not removed my asthma was never really a big deal.. so I never took it serious myself.

never say “you cant do this” or “you cant eat this” and then do or eat it front of her. try to explain to her that it is not good for her, and show an example of living with out, and living healthy, by doing so yourself.
