...transmission failing? the transmission blew out on saturday may 1st, and they are telling me it needs to be replaced and they are willing to do it for 3000$ which is down from 4000. i told them about the problem multiple times and have taken my car to honda every time to be serviced. the severity of the problem was never brought to my attention. there was a recall on the transmissions in japan, but there hasnt been one in the US. after the warranty expired they told me the transmission was bad and that it needed to be replaced. they did a complete flush of the transmission but it only masked the problem and didnt fix it.
what im looking for is a bunch of people who have or have had the same problem as me so we can get something done about this. honda obviously knows that there is a problem and if we an work together we can get our damned cars fixed, without the run around.
