Does anyone Know where the thermostat is located on a 1995 Chrysler New Yorker?

I thought it was located in the housing cover which I believed to have been connected from the upper radiator hose going to the engine. However, when unscrewing the two bolts to the housing, there was nothing there.
 
The theromstat was not there but the place for it was, someone else removed it. Replace it and go on about your business.

Get the type that fails in the open position!
