does anyone know where i could get a prop shaft for a honda crv 1997-2001?

Are you saying that the garage have removed the prop & let you drive it without one? Doesn't sound a good idea to me!
Find yourself a decent independent local garage to do your servicing & repairs - any garage should be able to recommend an engineering firm to recondition your prop if they can't do it themselves.

the garage has removed my prop shaft off my honda crv will my car be ok they have advised us to get a prop shaft but i do not know where to start looking for them they have said either to get a second hand one or get ours reconditioned can anyone help me please .
i am in the uk .
 
We may call it a drive shaft in the states but in the UK they obviously call it a propeller shaft cause it propels the car down the road.

Anyway, you should get one right away if you need it. Do you have salvage yards where you can buy used parts in the UK? That would be the place to go first.
