Does anyone know when Nick Joaquin wrote/published May Day Eve?

I can't find the exact year and i need it for a paper... All i get in searches are text and scripts for the play... Either that or the setting of the play which is 1847 and since Nick Joaquin was born in the 1900's there is obviously something wrong.
