i read recently that the contract with att is 2 to 5 years (unknown). with that being said, it's been two years since this contract started. however, because smartphones will be upgrading to a faster 4G network in the coming years, the iphone will probably not be available anywhere else but with att for some time. i'm not sure the reasoning on this, just what the article said. But it is apple so who knows.

I am a sprint customer and my contract is up next year so I was curious how long I might have to wait to get a new phone, preferably the Iphone will be with all carriers by then. What website can i go to keep up with this topic? I have researched many numerous threads about this but nothing with current information.
