A long time ago I ran across an author who had her stories available to read online. The general theme is similar to that of Laurell K. Hamilton's work (except less sex, thankfully)
I think remember the name of the main character, Katira.(that was either the name of the main character of this book or the main character of another book by the same author.) and that she had been attacked by some sort of were-cat and got kicked off the force after contracted lycanthropy.
I believe she ended up working as a private investigator or a bodyguard?
I don't believe it had ever been officially published, but I really did enjoy her writing and would love to find it again and possibly convince the author to publish.
I've tried google-ing it and a number of other search engines, trying to include a few other parts that i vaguely remember.
I would definitely appreciate any advice or ideas on how to track this down.
