I read a book way back in the eighth grade about a girl with the nickname Silver. She and her mother live in a big city, but they live in a poor trailer park. Two of the trailers fall into another school district; the school that all the rich kids attend. Her mother moves into one of these trailers so Silver can get a better education. Silver goes to her new school and makes quite a few friends. One girl is named Wendy and she's a really good artist. Wendy doesn't particularly like Silver, but later tells her that she is being molested by her uncle.
