Ok, you're getting scammed- I was looking into working for them, before I got the job that I have now. The Postal Service can be applied for for free- check your state's job service website, info can be found there- FOR FREE. If I'm remembering right, I took a short online test, on a link from my state's job service (Dept. of Labor) site, and then they set up a date to go take the test, after sending me a packet with study materials, and an overview of the process for hiring. DO NOT pay anyone for this- that little scam's been going for like, 30 years, and it won't help you to get a job. The US Postal Service do not charge for this- but you have to pass the basic test, before they will send you the materials, and take you to the next step.
As for the test, the study stuff that they sent me basically covered math, the ability to sort information, the ability to identify differences in addresses, etc. It wasn't too hard, but you have to remember that Veterans will always have top priority for them, so it's not as easy to hire on, if you're a regular civilian. They also tend to hire you on a temp or part-time, on-call basis, until you've proved yourself, and that can take awhile. However, once you're in, you're golden. Good luck! :o)
