Does anyone know how to set up a PS3 bluetooth device? Thanks for all who can help.?

-I specifically need help in the "scanning for bluetooth" part, because I don't know what button to press on the headset itself.
-The headset is one of the first types that came out (maybe the first) made by Sony for the PS3
-This one only has two volume buttons, a mute button and a power button, plus a charging pad.
This headset was hooked up to my friends do I have to unsink it with his first?
