Does anyone know how to reconfigure a Netgear Wireless Router?

I recently upgraded my internet from 20 Mbps to Charters new 60 Mbps service and now I can't connect to the internet with my router connected. I can connect fine without it. When I called Charter, they told me that there was nothing wrong with it, I just had to reconfigure the router to accept the faster internet speed. I don't have a clue as to how to do that. I called Netgear and because it had been over 90 days since I bought the router, I was going to have to pay them $40 for a half hour phone call so they could tell me how to reconfigure it. I let them know very quickly what I thought about that situation and that I didn't give that much for the router when I bought it new! So what I'm asking is, is there anyone out there that can help me with this problem. I really don't want to buy another router because there s nothing wrong with this one. Thanks!
