Such as sculptures that are covered with salt or some kind of crystalilne substance ot make it look like they are completely made with that substance. Any ideas?
There are Crystaline glazes, look up your local ceramic shop and they should have some there. They are not cheap though, like 20 - 30 dollars for a little tub of glaze. But way worth it... they come out beautiful!
