I have a 2001 mustang and recently (within 30 miles) my check engine light came on (solid). When i had them read the error code at ez lube it read p1518 for idle intake (stuck open). I took it to a ford dealership and then are saying it will be 1,000 to fix. I'm trying to figure out if there is truth to that or they are ripping me off. So does anyone know what the problem might be from this error code, and how much it will cost? The dealership said something about my pistons being dirty and there being a misfire on cylinder 4, but i dont think the two are linked to my problem.
