My friend has been "dating" this girl for 6 months long distance. However, there was always some excuse she would come up the day he was leaving to visit. He just recently was getting ready to go on a roadtrip to see her and she suddenly "died."
You may think I am crazy, however, I believe the death was faked. If not, then I pray to God her family gets through this hard time. The girl's life story is a little fishy though. And the night before he was leaving she had asked him if she had to go to the hospital if he would still come. Well he said yes, therefore, I feel like that is why she stretched her sickness to death. She is said to be from Canada, but I think she may be from Michigan. There are many more details involved that makes the scenario unique and strange.
I recently just found out he never knew the girl and he met her over the internet. Yet, they talked everyday and on the phone. He has been communicating with her "brothers" over her phone all day. I would leave the situation alone and just help him get through this "death" however he is talking about crazy things and not taking this very well considering she was the "love of his life" and "the one". He use to be a shy boy and did not show emotion but it's scary seeing him this way.

Her name is not coming up in any obituaries therefore I think the name is made up and the pictures she used is stolen. I just need some advice on how I can investigate this situation or how I can handle my friend. I'm trying to be there as much as possible but there are many more details with that also, she kind of separated are friendship so we don't speak as often. It's just a very sad event.
