without buying a tester? I have a problem and it's urgent. When I came home today to check on my new fish I noticed one was dead. ='(
About an hour later I noticed another one was dying, that it couldn't keep itself upright. I took it out quickly and put it in a smaller tank, that doesn't have any added conditioner.
Now, 10 minutes later he is recuperating and can now swim sideways. (It's an improvement.)
I think something is in my water! I didn't put to much conditioner because I checked well before I put it in. I need to make sure no other fish die! What do I do?
The only other thing I could think of was that when I put the pump in I noticed that there was a switch with - at one end and + at the other. The manual was miss placed so I don't know what this means? ----> In not knowing what this switch is it could be the reason for the fish dying.
Help PLEASE!
Thank you....

You want to TEST your pH levels, without a Tester..... \ :
go buy the cheap ph testing kits from the pet store. If you dont want to, then do a water change, 30% should do. if fish are still dieing, then change allmost all of it. How did you did you introduce your fish to the new tank and its water? did you do the drip method? or did you just plop them in there?
