Symptoms: Low back burning, Butt pain, hip pain, knee pain, top of thigh pain.
After years of misdiagnosis from tight butt muscles to DJD and up to and including back surgery, acupuncture, prolo therapy, sports medicine, chiropractors, physical therapy, inpatient hospitalization procedures i.e epidurals and nerve stripping and lots of different medications including steroiRAB. I finally came to realize I have SI Joint inflammation. I had 2 nerve ablations (Burning of the tiny nerve endings connected to the SI joints) 1st procedure WORKED great, I was doing fine w/ no pain for about 8 weeks. Until the nerves grew back (this time more than before.) I had a 2nd procedure and they could not get all of them so it was back to the original pain. Once again I could not stand, walk, or sit for any extended amount of time. The only time I felt comfortable was to lay down. Not a fun way to live. I was ready to give up and request permanent disability. I decided to find a doctor that would manage my pain with drugs. This new Doctor suggested a procedure called PRP.

"Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is an "autologous blood therapy" that uses a patient's own blood components to stimulate a healing response in damaged tissues. In response to an injury or tissue damage, your body naturally recruits platelets and white blood cells from the blood to initiate a healing response. Under normal conditions, platelets store numerous growth factors which are released in response to signals from the injured tissue. Modern technology allows us to concentrate platelets and white blood cells from your blood, and induce this growth factor release as we inject the solution directly into injured tissue, simulating this same healing response in a more powerful form. By enhancing the body's natural healing capacity, the treatment may lead to a more rapid, more efficient, and more thorough restoration of the tissue to a healthy state."
This procedure is performed in the doctors office which is kinda cool. Actually I understand Tiger WooRAB had this procedure. Thus Far it has been the only treatment that has even come close to helping with my pain. Its not perfect but at least I do have the occasional day where I feel OK. It kinda works but my pain still comes and goes. Some days are good and many are still bad. If any of you have the same problem please let me know how you deal with the constant pain. Also have you found a treatment that actually works?
