I have pain in my back for weeks at a time that I feel every second.. any of you have pain constant like this?

I get really stiff and it feels really good to have someone push on my back.

What could be causing this?

So do you take lyrica or anything like it? Or celebrex?

I live with pain 24/7 and will, the rest of my life. Hence the PM doctor. You didn't say where your pain was or what type. Have you done anything to cause this? Such as picking up something that was too heavy, or having an accident?

If you are getting stiff, that tells you that your muscles are being comprimised. You may just have a severe muscle pull or spasms. They can be caused by nerves that are irritated that then irritate the muscles..just one big happy family.

I would suggest getting into a good doc and finding out why the pain comes and why it is so persisitant. He can order xrays or an MRI to see why you are having issues.....

good luck!

No haven't had any test for my back, most tests were all due to stomach related issues

I did carried my 90lb dog once for about 3 blocks and pulled a muscle or something.. but that was a good 2 years ago... even though this back pain has been happening for about a year.

Then also i go the gym or did go quite often, but never went heavy weights when working my back.

So a pinched nerve can cause muscle stiffness?

I also have pain 24/7 in my back it never goes away and never will. If I was you I would get checked to see what's going on. Yes a pinched nerve could cause muscle spasms and stiffness. Take care.

It depenRAB on if it's a pinched nerve coming from a disc problem or something else. It can range from management to surgery depending on underlying problem.. Hope I helped.;)

last question,

If the pain goes away for like a week or so at a time, could that still be a pinched nerve?

Yes. If you have given it a rest, it can relax and it will quit hte irritation. But it can come back.COLOR]

if that is the case - i would need to figure out what triggers it...

do you have a pinched nerve?
