...Vodafone? Cheers? I keep looking daily for info. on this - its driving me crazy!! I can't wait! lol I've waited for the 2nd gen iPhone before I buy one - and am hoping it's on Vodafone - I've heard rumours that this may be true . . but need confirmation! lol
Apples contract with O2 was for the non-3G iPhone only . . . and not the 3G iPhone. They were careful to distiguish this in the contract they signed!
 
Wait...why would the 3G release be for Vodafone? O2 beat Vodafone for the first generation iPhone contract. And knowing how the carrier contracts have been, it's going to be a while before Apple's contract with O2 is over.

Either way, O2 already has their own 3G network.
